How Moonstone Hollow Began

My name is Taryn the owner of Moonstone Hollow.

I live in a small corner of the North East of England with my husband Lewis, my son Jett, my dogs Aura and Cosmo, and my cats Luna and Star (yes… it is quite chaotic).

I’ve been fascinated by witchcraft and healing crystals for as long as I can remember. It runs in my family from my great-grandma who read tea leaves, to my mum who is deeply immersed in the works of Aleister Crowley. Being surrounded by different perspectives within occultism encouraged me to carve my own path.

That path led me to crystals.

They came into my life at a time when I truly needed grounding and clarity. I experienced real shifts. Real comfort. Real support.

And that’s when it stopped being an interest… and became something much deeper.

The turning point

In 2025, I gave birth to my beautiful son.

While on maternity leave, I started thinking about the future. My job worked on shift patterns, and the reality of missing evenings, milestones, and quality time with my family didn’t sit right with me.

I knew I wanted to work on something different.

So I asked myself how could I bring my love of crystals, ritual, and energy work into something real? Something sustainable? Something that aligned with my values?

That question became Moonstone Hollow.

Why it matters? 

When I first started exploring crystals and occult practices, the information felt endless and honestly, overwhelming. There was so much noise, so many opinions, so much aesthetic-first content that I didn’t know where to begin.

Moonstone Hollow was created to simplify that.

Think of it as your grounded space within a very loud world.

(Yes I used to carry crystals in my bra. We’ve all been there. I just needed something to make it fashionable.)

Moonstone Hollow is a quiet rebellion against that.
